Cities are getting hotter, denser, and more stimulating. There is a lack of places to retreat to, and trees cannot be planted everywhere. The result: stressed-out people and unattractive open spaces.

Sense Of Shade is a portable shading system with a patented design that mimics the natural shade of a tree—providing genuine relief for both body and mind.

Product

Design meets natural phenomena.
Two taut, tear-resistant tarpaulin panels with a cut-out tree pattern create an interplay of light and shadow, as well as leaf-like rustling sounds. Our brains perceive these phenomena as natural. Weather-resistant, modular, and suitable for use anywhere—from city squares to living rooms.

For our product, we use a particularly durable, UV-resistant, and weatherproof material that has a comparatively low carbon footprint over a lifespan of up to 12 years.

At the same time, we are conducting targeted research into bio-based materials and improved recycling concepts in order to develop natural materials with comparable functionality and more sustainable alternatives for textile sun protection systems in the future.
