SENSE OF SHADE

Natural shade.
Anywhere trees can't grow.

Sense Of Shade brings the atmosphere of vibrant nature to urban spaces—with a portable shade structure that replicates the effect of real tree shade.

“Sense of Shade” is a sunshade that mimics the shade cast by a tree and simulates its natural effect on the human brain. The cut-out canopy provides shade for people and can protect cities from sunlight. In light of the issue of global warming, Sense of Shade cools our living environment while bringing a sense of nature to places that lack it.

Humans are adapted to nature and function through biochemical processes controlled by triggers in the natural environment. Mimicking the shade of a tree allows for subconscious relaxation, since it does not matter to the brain whether this effect is produced by a natural or a man-made object, as long as the sensory perception is similarly authentic.

"Sense of Shade" is no substitute for a tree, but it can strengthen our biological connection to nature, the restorative effects of which have been scientifically proven.

“Sense of Shade is more than just a shading solution—it’s a biophilic design element that transforms urban spaces into small-scale nature experiences. Unlike functional camouflage nets, it creates not only shade but also atmosphere, relaxation, and added design value—exactly what modern cities need today.”
